The item itself was fine and worked as expected, but the box arrived crushed and covered in messy tape. I expected the packaging to be a lot better, so that was a bit disappointing. Thankfully nothing seemed damaged, but the delivery presentation definitely fell short of what I was expecting.

I went into the store hoping to pick something up, but I regretted it quickly. The staff basically ignored me the whole time, which made the whole thing feel really awkward. I left wishing I’d just gone somewhere else instead. Definitely won’t be going back...

"Pretty disappointing selection"
I expected way more riding gear and saddle options, so I felt kind of stupid for trusting that they’d have what I needed. They had a few basic items, but the selection was limited overall. If you’re looking for something specific, you might end up leaving disappointed like I did.

"Limited Brand Selection, So Check Before You Rely on Them"
Just a heads-up for anyone thinking of ordering from Hope Valley Saddlery: I’ve used them a couple of times and they’re not awful by any means, but the brand selection is limited. They do carry some decent items, but whenever I’m looking for specific riding wear or tack brands, I often end up not finding what I need and have to check other shops instead. I wouldn’t say avoid them completely, but if you like having plenty of options, you might be disappointed. I’d probably use them again, but only if I already knew they had the exact item I wanted.

"Annoying delay after ordering"
I ordered a few bits that were showing as in stock, but then got an email saying one of the items wasn’t actually available. I ended up having to wait in a queue to get it sorted, which was frustrating, especially when I needed the stuff quickly. In the end I had to pick something else instead. Not the worst experience ever, but definitely annoying.

The return process was frustrating. It took way longer than expected, the replies I got felt kind of vague, and I had to keep following up just to get my refund sorted. Not a great experience overall, and I don’t think I’d order again :(

The after-sales service has been really poor. Once the purchase was done, it felt like getting any help or follow-up became a struggle. I expected much better support, and at this point I feel some kind of compensation would be fair for the inconvenience

I’m still waiting for my order to show up, and the tracking info isn’t helping at all?? It doesn’t really tell me where the package is or when I should expect it, so I’m just kind of stuck wondering what’s going on.

I ordered this thinking it would show up quickly, but it ended up taking much longer than I expected. There were barely any updates for ages, which made it feel like they were hoping I’d just sit tight and not ask questions. I had to chase it myself in the end. The item was absolutely fine once it finally arrived, but the delivery experience was poor enough that I’d think twice before ordering again.

"Wrong Bit Sent and the Return Felt Frustrating"
I ordered a full cheek bit and they sent me a loose ring one instead. The return itself went okay, but it still threw off my weekend plans, which was really annoying. "Checkout was a mess and I just gave up"
I tried to place an order the checkout just would not cooperate. It kept freezing, then randomly kicking me back to the basket, so I thought maybe I’d missed something or typed my details in wrong. Checked everything again, tried another time, same thing.
After a while I was just sitting there thinking, okay, why am I still doing this? It was more frustrating than it needed to be, so I left it and didn’t order. Maybe it works fine for other people, but for me the checkout experience was poor and I wouldn’t be in a rush to try again.

I tried to get some help with my order and honestly... it was just a pain. Replies took ages. When they did come back, they didn’t really answer anything properly. It felt like I was being brushed off more than helped. Not a great experience at all, and I don’t think I’d use hopevalleysaddlery.co.uk again after that...

I didn’t get super far, just looked through some of the product pages, but the info felt limited. I couldn’t really tell much about the sizing, materials, or what would actually show up if I ordered. Maybe there’s more detail somewhere else, but from what I saw, I wouldn’t feel very confident buying.

I tried ordering from hopevalleysaddlery.co.uk, but the website was such a pain to use. Pages were loading slowly, the filters didn’t really do what I expected, and finding the right size took way longer than it should’ve. The basket was confusing too, so I ended up going back and forth a few times. The shop itself might be perfectly fine, but the website made the whole thing feel frustrating. I just gave up in the end 🙃
